Help finding music heard on NPR
We appreciate your interest in the music heard between stories during NPR programming.
NPR inserts some of these musical transitions, others are selected by your local station, and more are chosen by the stations/networks which produce other public radio programming also heard on your local station.
To find the music interludes for NPR programs (such as Morning Edition, All Things Considered, etc.), please select the program from the drop-down Programs menu at NPR.org. Once on the program's main page, scroll through the most recent show or click "Browse past shows" to access the program's archive. Please keep in mind that the overall availability of music heard on NPR varies from program to program.
Any missing interlude will be updated as soon as the information is available. If the information in question has not been posted within 2 weeks of when the show originally aired, this is usually an indication that our records for the music used during that broadcast are incomplete and cannot be updated.
If you're not sure which program you were listening to, or if the program was locally produced, please try your local NPR station's web site for more information. If you need assistance locating the website for your local station, click here.
If you are interested in locating a story you heard about a featured artist or group, please refer to our help topic for finding stories at NPR.org.
