How do I make NPR.org my home page?

 

Setting the home page for your browser is relatively simple, however the instructions vary slightly from browser to browser:

 

Firefox (for PC users):

  • Go to the 'Tools' menu
  • Select 'Options' and a window will appear
  • Make sure you are on the General tab, and look for the Home Page field
  • Type www.npr.org in the Home Page field and remember to save your changes before exiting

Firefox (for Mac users):

  • Go to the Firefox menu
  • Select 'Preferences...' and a window will appear
  • Make sure you are on the General tab, and look for the Home Page field
  • Type www.npr.org in the Home Page field and remember to save your changes before exiting

Internet Explorer:

  • Go to the 'Tools' menu
  • Select 'Internet Options' and a window will appear
  • Make sure you are on the General tab, and look for the Start Up field
  • Type www.npr.org in the Start Up field and remember to save your changes before exiting

Safari:

  • Go to the Safari menu
  • Select 'Preferences...' and a window will appear
  • Make sure you are on the General tab, and look for the Home Page field
  • Type www.npr.org in the Home Page field and remember to save your changes before exiting

Chrome:

  • Click the wrench icon
  • Select 'Options'
  • Make sure you are on the Basics tab, and look for the Home Page field
  • Type www.npr.org in the Home Page field
  • Make sure the 'Show Home' option is checked, and remember to save your changes before exiting
