How do I make NPR.org my home page?
Setting the home page for your browser is relatively simple, however the instructions vary slightly from browser to browser:
Firefox (for PC users):
- Go to the 'Tools' menu
- Select 'Options' and a window will appear
- Make sure you are on the General tab, and look for the Home Page field
- Type www.npr.org in the Home Page field and remember to save your changes before exiting
Firefox (for Mac users):
- Go to the Firefox menu
- Select 'Preferences...' and a window will appear
- Make sure you are on the General tab, and look for the Home Page field
- Type www.npr.org in the Home Page field and remember to save your changes before exiting
Internet Explorer:
- Go to the 'Tools' menu
- Select 'Internet Options' and a window will appear
- Make sure you are on the General tab, and look for the Start Up field
- Type www.npr.org in the Start Up field and remember to save your changes before exiting
Safari:
- Go to the Safari menu
- Select 'Preferences...' and a window will appear
- Make sure you are on the General tab, and look for the Home Page field
- Type www.npr.org in the Home Page field and remember to save your changes before exiting
Chrome:
- Click the wrench icon
- Select 'Options'
- Make sure you are on the Basics tab, and look for the Home Page field
- Type www.npr.org in the Home Page field
- Make sure the 'Show Home' option is checked, and remember to save your changes before exiting
